We had a fairy themed session last Thursday with local artist Mark Cosby. We explored the garden and the children used their imagination to find evidence of items fairy's had left behind! After collecting them in a basket we took them inside and created a large magical map featuring fairies and animals, sticking on our items and painting on extra details. We even had enough twigs left over to make a marble run, well actually an oak gall run! After lunch we made a huge fairy castle (out of donated cardboard sheets), using of course our best design and engineering skills. The best part was possibly collapsing our castle at the end of the session!
