We were joined by the inspirational Holly Medland-Lees this Thursday for a workshop on local history. We learnt about making traditional bricks, broaches and of course all about smuggling! Stealing barrels and evading the customs officer and magistrate proved a very popular game! Lucia led a great storytelling activity where the children made up their own tale using her woodland illustrations. Although it rained all day, we headed out for some fresh air, using the tent and plastic sheet for cover we explored the Australian garden where it was a little more sheltered.
