If you have a little one interested in legendary or fantastical creatures, there is a beautiful series of books written and illustrated by the same author, Beatrice Blue.
Lucia read these three books to the group and they created a very magical atmosphere.
ONCE UPON A UNICORN HORN: this is the first of the series, and it is very sweet, but also quite funny...we will not say exactly why, but you can find out here:
ONCE UPON A DRAGON FIRE: this was the one that children voted as their favourite of the three, and it has a very clever build up of emotional storytelling through colour, with a surprising open flap that revealed the heart of the story. You can see it here:
ONCE UPON A MERMAID'S TAIL: the colours of this book are just the most enchanting!
Rendered digitally, they have all those mermaid translucent shades..
